OK. This was a confusing time. Several attempts to create and sustain a pro league were done. There was the Women's Western Volleyball League (WWVL) in 1994, the Professional Volleyball League (PVL) in 1995, the National Volleyball Association (NVA) leagues in 1995 through 1997. Some of the teams survived and jumped from league to league.
