ESPN 30 for 30 Short: Bump and Spike: A short history of the Coed US Pro Volleyball League.
"There was a partial 1980 season. I worked for the Comets in 1980 prior to the season and up to and after the IVA had folded.
The IVA All Star game was to have been held in Denver. ESPN was to televise it. When the IVA folded the owner of the Denver Comets flew in the all-star players at his expense and the unofficial match was played. It was the Comets vs the IVA All Stars. The Comets won but I do not know the final game scores. We also had close to 3,000 fans in attendance."
